The nature of this Samsung Galaxy S3 is what keeps Samsung above all others. The technology on device is to be envied by anyone who owns a Smartphone, trust me you will want to trade in yours when you see this gadget. From the size, the weight and the technology in the Galaxy S3 I think Samsung deserve a round of applause.

Display and Dimensions:
Despite have to fit a large super AMOLED screen, highly powered camera and gigantic mobile processing power the Galaxy S3 maintains a decent size and weight. It measures 136.6mm in height 70.6 in width and a super slim 8.6 mm thick. Although the weight does tip the scales at 133 grams, I have to say that the design is quite impressive apart from the brushed plastic which doesn’t give you the true feel of the device apart from make it feel very lightweight.

As for the display Samsung never disappoints and the Galaxy S3 adorns a large 4.8 inches Super AMOLED capacitive screen. It supports 16M colours with an impressive resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels at 306 pixels per inch density. It also enjoys the protection from the Corning Gorilla Glass and features the now common TouchWiz UI v4.0.

Memory, Storage and CPU:
Although the processing power of this device doesn’t come as a surprise to many of those who were waiting for its release we have all got to hand it to Samsung, they did a good job on this one. The S3 features a Cortex A9 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, Exynos 4212 Quad chipset and a Mali-400MP GPU. All this is then supported by 1GB RAM and a choice of 16, 32 or 64GB internal storage and with a card slot capable of supporting a microSD of up to 64GB.

Network Access:
Like any other Smartphone the S3 features a normal telephony service and supports both 2G and 3G networks. It also impressively supports all the Wi-Fi standards that is 802.11a/b/g/n and allows for creation of a Wi-Fi hotspot. The 3G network download speeds go up to 21Mbps while the upload speed goes up to 5.76Mbps like most Smartphones. The S3 also features the new Bluetooth V4.0 with A2DP and EDR.

And again Samsung do not disappoint on this one either. The S3 adorns a powerful 8MP camera with LED flash with a cool 3264 by 2448 pixels, autofocus and geo-tagging. This camera supports simultaneous full HD video and image recording, touch focus, image stabilization, face and smile detection. While primary camera is able to record at 1080p@30fps the 1.9MP secondary camera is able to record at half HD that is 720p@30fps.

Software, Multimedia and Other Features:
With the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich the S3 features a classic browser that supports HTML and Adobe Flash. It also has several classic Smartphone features like GPS, Accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass.

In the multimedia section the S3 supports most file formats as most of the Smartphones, MP4, XviD, WMV, H.263/4, MP3, WAV, eAAC+, AC3 and FLAC. The S3 also supports RDS radio.
The S3 is an Android Smartphone and you can get all of the applications in the Google Play Store
