The BlackBerry Storm 2 is a sleek and powerful device. The engineers were able to put together several impressive features like the light sensitive screen and slim nature of the device, BlackBerry however are still unable to provide a Smartphone with an impressive camera.

Dimensions and Display:
The Storm 2 is a typical Smartphone when it comes to the dimensions and weight. It is 2.45 inches wide, 4.43 inches in height and 0.55 inches thick. It weighs 160 grams or 5.64 ounces and is mostly black with a brushed aluminum back panel.

These mobile phone features the new touch screen technology with a 3.25 inches (diagonally measured) TFT capacitive touch screen. It has over 65,000 colors on 480 by 360, high-resolution screen .An added advantage is that the user can select their own font size and the screen is also light sensitive.

Memory and CPU:
The BlackBerry Storm 2 comes with 256MB internal flash-memory which can be added using a 2GB media card included with the BlackBerry on purchase. It is however expandable up to 16GB.
This BlackBerry device is capable of performing most tasks with ease giving the user and exhilarating experience. This is however brought a few notches lower by the 528MHz processor on the device.

Network Access:
The BlackBerry Storm 2 supports both Wi-Fi and 3G. It however only supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g while most of the other smartphones support Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. The 3G network supports download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to 3.1Mbps. Like all BlackBerry Smartphones you can get the BlackBerry Service from your service provider via subscription. It has Bluetooth v2.1 and supports Bluetooth headsets. The Storm 2 also features a tethered modem capability.

Like most BlackBerry Smartphones, the Storm 2 is no different. It features an underpowered 3.15MP camera with LED flash. It has a maximum image resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels with only 2x digital zoom and doesn’t have a secondary camera. It however features autofocus, image stabilization, and geo-tagging.

Software, Multimedia and other utilities:
The Storm 2 features the BlackBerry 5.0 operating system which supports most if not all Smartphone features.

Messaging on the Storm 2, like in all the BlackBerry models, is superb. The messages are threaded and colour coded. The Storm 2 can hook into ten email accounts and also pushes full HTML messages, not to mention the BlackBerry Messenger advantages. The user can also use Yahoo, Google Talk, AIM or MSN. All of these gets even better with the on-screen keyboard featuring portrait SureType®, QWERTY and multitap plus landscape QWERTY

The DataViz DocumentsToGo is preinstalled for viewing Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. One can buy more third-party applications through the BlackBerry App World.

The Storm 2 also features a media player. It has both a music player and a video player. For audio it supports most of the common file formats that is MP3, ACC, ACC+, and eAAC+, WMA, WMA ProPlus while for video it has MPEG4, H.263, MPE4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264 and WMV. With these codecs you can enjoy your music and videos anywhere, anytime.

BlackBerry also boasts of a super charged battery on this mobile phone. The Storm 2 comes with a 1400mAHR removable rechargeable lithium-ion battery capable of supporting up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 12.7 days/305 hours of standby time.
