Nvidia unveils new handheld console Project Shield

Nvidia are primarily known for the graphics card development. But now they will be showcasing their latest development in the form of a handheld gaming console.

CES 2013 also saw Nvidia annouce their Tegra 4 chip, boasted as the world’s fastest mobile processor.

The new handheld gaming device will give 38 hours of gaming time, audio performance, running on an android OS.

Project Shield has been designed to look like a game pad (Xbox pad). It will have a built-in HD screen, micro SD slot, USB port and HDMI output.

More details are expected to be released later on this year but it sounds like it can already out perform its Sony and Nintendo rivals.
